Game Overview

ASPIS is a story-driven first-person horror adventure that takes place in a version of the late 1980s Soviet Union. Developed by Dream Wire Games the game blends horror, science fiction, exploration, puzzles, action and mystery into a strange journey that goes beyond normal reality. Players control Andrey, an engineer who enters a system named ASPIS. His goal is to see his family once more hoping that this system holds the key, to bringing them back.

Setting & Story

The story starts in the USSR in 1987. Six volunteers sign up for a project. They get linked to the ASPIS system. This system was made to predict events in history.. Something goes wrong. It doesn’t go as planned. One year passes. None of the six volunteers wakes up. They’re still in the system. No one knows why. The machine keeps running. The people, inside stay silent. No one comes out. The mystery grows.

Andrey, an engineer and one of the people taking part had a personal reason for being in the experiment. He wanted to see his wife Anna and his daughter Liza again.. Instead the system took him to places that feel like they are, outside of what people can imagine.

His journey begins inside the Institute of Cybernetics. From there it spreads out into places, old buildings and hidden worlds. Players find out the story, by reading papers, logs and messages on computer screens. They also talk to characters. Watch short movie scenes. Each piece helps build the picture.
