As the player, players work their way through violent criminal activity through taking on jobs to uncover and delve into a hidden criminal underground.

Gunman Contracts: Stand Alone Story
The story concerns the Gunman, the best trained operative available working for an underground syndicate which is untouchable in the eyes of the law. His new mark is called the Collectors and they are responsible for the kidnapping, death and rape of unsuspecting innocents.
The investigations lead the Gunman on his chase through various locales; they begin with a safe house out in the boonies, then he moves into a syndicate-owned warehouse in the harbor, and then he travels to a Mafia owned restaurant concealing a deadly secret beneath. Each contract brings him closer and closer to the truth behind the collectors.
The Hive – Gunman’s Home Base
The Hive is the Gunman’s personal sanctuary between operations. In addition to acting as the interface from which the player access and equips their various contracts, it also provides several mini games designed to help the player hone their marksmanship and ready themselves for their current assignment. In addition to a standard gun range, pop up target practice, speed shooting course and holographic simulation combat room, the player is able to browse their arms inventory, outfit them with and customize weapon skins and sound profiles on the gun bench, and choose among 18+ available unlock-able weapons on the Gun Wall.
Story Contracts and Missions
The story of Gunman Contracts: Stand Alone released for the Early Access have three tied missions throughout several areas and scenarios. Those missions include a safe-house located in the city’s outskirts, a warehouse used by a syndicate with cargo shipping and a restaurant owned by a mobster with covert activities. The missions will revolve around completing a certain task, letting you prepare your loadout, enter hostile territory and then take out your target and survive incoming fire, rather than feeling like completely disconnected shooting levels. The plan is to have a further three additional story contracts released through updates, prior to the 1.0 release of the game.
